Chapter 0879: Obtaining Rewards from Opportunities

Chapter 0879: Obtaining Rewards from Opportunities

As Li Luo stared at the sight in front of him in amazement, Li Lingjing's voice came from a distance and explained, "This is the sacred ground of the Fire Spirit Monkeys. They gather here whenever a Monkey King is born. The Monkey King takes a sip from the pond before it places an unripe Sacred Infant Fruit into it. As time passes, most of the Sacred Infant Fruits are consumed by the water in the pond. Only a select few reach perfection with the assistance of the fire water.

"At the same time, the group of monkeys will celebrate and share one ripe Sacred Infant Fruit among themselves whenever the Monkey King is born. This is the secret base of the Fire Spirit Monkeys. It can only be found by capturing the Fire Spirit Monkey King and inflicting fear into its very bones. When it's truly frightened and left with nowhere else to run, it'll escape towards here."

This really took Li Luo's breath away. Things truly worked in mysterious ways. Who would have expected such an amazing place to exist deep in this volcano?

If Li Lingjing had not gotten the incomplete memories of the Soul Eater True Devil, they would never, ever have learned such secrets.

"The Enchanting Fire Water Pond is formed by combining the essences from the ground spring and from the volcano. Its water has the magical effect of strengthening one's physical body. Currently, your cultivation into the Glass Fiend Tier is only half-completed. With the aid of the Fire Water, there's a high chance you can perfect it," Li Lingjing said.

Hearing her words, a passionate flame arose within Li Luo's eyes. This was an opportunity that he couldn't miss.

"Cousin Li Luo, here's my apology to you. Are you feeling a little better now?" Li Lingjing said softly.

With a smile, Li Luo answered, "No worries, Cousin. You can make me angry whenever you want as long as you remember me when such an opportunity arises again."

Li Lingjing was a little taken back by his overly direct response.

With a slight smile, she replied, "If you're satisfied with it, please grab onto the time and enjoy it. We'll need to hurry back once you're done here."

Li Luo nodded in agreement. In a flash, he flew to the side of the Enchanting Fire Water Pond. He reached out his hand and easily collected the two Sacred Infant Fruits floating on it, storing them safely in his pocket.

With the Sacred Infant Fruits secured, Li Luo could finally heave a sigh of relief. His mission had been accomplished and Uncle Biao's problem was finally going to be solved.

In the next moment, his fiery gaze turned towards the Enchanting Fire Water Pond. From the looks of things, it seemed like he would need to enter the pool himself if he would like to cultivate his body.

Li Luo pondered over it for a while before he lightly tapped on the crimson bracelet on his wrist. Next, he removed it along with his clothes and placed it by the side of the pond.

He was reminding the Three-tailed Heavenly Wolf to help him keep a lookout for Li Lingjing.

Although she did not appear to be under the corruption of the Soul Eater True Devil thus far, Li Luo was still keeping his guard up. After all, this cousin of his was crafty. He had to be prepared in case there was a surprise attack on him during his cultivation.

When Li Luo placed his bracelet down, the black worm that Li Lingjing had transformed into took a glance at it too. However, she did not say anything and simply took a few steps back to keep her distance.

She also understood that she had made use of Li Luo without his knowledge. Although it was for the sake of her own survival, there was no way Li Luo could completely trust her once she had set this precedent.

When Li Luo stepped into the pond, there was a painful, burning sensation at first. After a few moments of heat, an icy feeling emerged that relieved the burn.

These two sensations alternated repeatedly, giving Li Luo an enchanting feeling of ice and fire tempering. It was a strangely comfortable experience.

As he sat in the lotus position in the Enchanting Fire Water Pond, he activated his Draconic Breath Fiend Art and started to take in the mysterious energy.

At this moment, his body started to emit a golden light flowing with glazed patterns. As the energy from the pond continued to flow into his body, the patterns grew more apparent and started to light up.

Li Luo could clearly feel the joy in his body as it lusted for more energy. Without a doubt, the Enchanting Fire Water Pond had given his body an incredible boost.

He quickly shut himself off from the outside world as he eagerly absorbed the energy from the Enchanting Fire Water Pond.

From a distance away, Li Lingjing was quietly watching the changes taking place inside him. The glazed patterns had started to appear on his skin, which was a sign of the foundation Li Luo possessed.

In the Heavenly Origin Divine Continent, the Glass Fiend Tier was like a benchmark of how talented an individual was. Back when Li Lingjing was at the Fiend Body Tier, she had also reached the Glass Fiend Tier. She knew about the differences in strength within the Glass Fiend Tier itself.

With the strength of Li Luo's body, he could have reached the Glass Fiend Tier long ago. However, he had not done so. He must have been aiming for the Tri-Radiance Glass Fiend Tier, the highest class of the Glass Fiend Tier.

Only the most talented among talented individuals could reach that tier. Not only did it require the assistance of rare opportunities, the individual's foundation also had to be exceptional.

Nonetheless, it seemed like Li Luo would have no problem fulfilling the requirements.

"He's even more talented than I was in the past," Li Lingjing thought to herself. She took a look at the pitch-black worm body she was in now. There was an uncontrollable hint of revulsion in her eyes, but she eventually suppressed it.

She did not like the Soul Eater True Devil's body either. However, she needed to do this in order to survive and take back her talent. With her mental fortitude, she would not be too bothered by this appearance since it was temporary.

Once Li Luo brought her back to the old manor, all her suffering over the past few years would finally pay off...

As Li Luo was fully engrossed in cultivating his body, a full day passed.

The black mist in the dense forest had cleared out during this time. Li Fengyi, Zhao Jingyu, and the rest had slowly regained their consciousness.

When they first awakened, they looked around the area in horror.

"We're still alive?" Li Fengyi asked as she looked over at Li Jingtao and Deng Fengxian.

The two of them were just as confused as her. Their defenses were totally useless when the black mist flooded in. They had lost their mental states then and went into a deep slumber of hallucination.

They felt separated from the world when they finally awakened.

"Where's the Soul Eater True Devil?" Deng Fengxian asked as he scanned the area vigilantly. However, there were no traces of the enemy at all.

"Little Brother?!" Li Fengyi's face suddenly changed. She had realized that Li Luo was missing and started to panic.

Fortunately, Li Jingtao remained composed as he noticed the jade-tablet scroll floating in front of them. He reached out and read it before his eyes relaxed a little.

"Don't worry, Third Brother has gone deeper into the Mountain Range to search for the Sacred Infant Fruit. This was left behind by him, and it seems like the Soul Eater True Devil has been eliminated too?" Li Jingtao said with a look of uncertainty as he passed the jade-tablet scroll over to Li Fengyi.

Li Fengyi hurriedly grabbed it and took a read before she frowned and asked, "What happened? Is the Soul Eater True Devil really gone? Can we trust this?" The series of questions revealed the confusion in her heart.

Deng Fengxian also took a look at the scroll with eyes full of surprise.

"This resonant power is indeed from Third Brother," Li Jingtao answered while scratching his head. He recognized the familiar resonant power coming from the jade-tablet scroll.

"Third Brother is quick-witted. I think these words are real. Since he told us to wait here for two days, let's wait a while and see?" Li Fengyi's expression changed and she finally calmed down.

"Let's wait for two days, then. If he doesn't return, we will go out and search for him immediately. If that happens, we will find him even if we have to flip this Dark Domain over!"

At the same time, Zhao Jingyu's group had also started to regain their consciousness.

"Hurry up, get my arms back and we'll leave this stupid place immediately!" Zhao Jingyu shouted with a pale face. Hearing this, the others dispersed in a hurry to search for his amputated arms.

Unfortunately, no one could find them after a few moments of searching. Zhao Jingyu felt a chill in his heart at this moment. If he could recover his arms, he could get them fixed and things wouldn't be so bad. If he could not, he would have to grow two new arms with the help of herbs and medicines. Not only would this be a lot more troublesome, his new arms would naturally be weaker than his original ones.

This would be a really huge blow to him.

"Damn it!" Zhao Jingyu screamed angrily. He had not expected to be so unlucky on this trip. Not only had he encountered multiple True Devil Others, he had even lost his arms and his pocket sphere.

He was deeply regretting coming after Li Luo.

The only good thing was that Li Luo was nowhere to be seen. He assumed that Li Luo had been slaughtered by the mysterious True Devil, which was a piece of good news for him.

"Let's go!" He gritted his teeth and decided to retreat decisively. He did not want to hang around here any longer.

Hearing this, the others nodded in agreement too. The mysterious True Devil earlier had really spooked the hell out of them. None of them wanted to hang around in the Dark Domain any longer.

As such, they set off under his command and retreated in their pathetic state.

Over at Li Fengyi's side, there was no comment regarding their retreat. After all, they were still uncertain about what had happened to Li Luo. They were in no mood to get mixed up with Zhao Jingyu and his group at the moment.

After Zhao Jingyu and his group retreated, the forest turned silent again. Li Fengyi and the rest looked into the depths of the mountain range with looks of worry on their faces.
