Chapter 1234: Purifying the World End's River Meteor

The divine light resonant power swept across the sky. The worldly natural energy in the surroundings was transformed into light resonant power upon contact with it. Then it rushed back into the Ten-Pillar Duke Bergfried behind Jiang Qing'e like a rainbow.

No one, not even the five Guardian Generals, had seen such pristine purification prowess before.

At this moment, Jiang Qing'e was like a holy goddess that lit up the world, dispersing all of the darkness from it.

The World's End River Meteor began to melt, shrinking at a shocking speed.

After just a few moments, it was smaller than the 980 feet that Luo Jiang had achieved with all his might.

Moreover, the speed at which it was shrinking had not slowed down. The meteor continued to reduce in size as everyone watched in disbelief.

As the purification continued, the color of the World's End River Meteor began to turn brighter and purer. The majestic energy inside it flowed turbulently as if it was boiling.

"Is this the power of triple ninth-grade light resonances and a Ten-Pillar Duke Bergfried?"

All the members of the Dragon's Fang Guardians were dumbfounded. At the same time, they were elated. Li Hongque suddenly shifted her eyes to the sky. She looked towards Yuan Tianzhao and whispered, "Brother Yuan, we can't lose to the Dragon's Fang Guardians. Can you purify and refine the next World's End River Meteor a little more?"

Strictly speaking, Li Hongque was lower ranked than Envoy Yuan Tianzhao and should have acted more politely. "Dragon Fang Envoy Jiang, that's enough already! You may stop now!" Luo Jiang exclaimed in surprise.

"There is still a little corruption left in it," Jiang Qing'e replied with a frown.

She was extremely sensitive to corruption, and at the same time, she was a perfectionist. Therefore, she would not be fine with stopping here.

Luo Jiang did not know whether to cry or laugh at this. He had not expected Jiang Qing'e to have such high expectations for herself. Although the leftover corruption would affect the amount of the Star Pearls, there shouldn't be too much of a difference.

Completely purifying all the corruption in a World's End River Meteor was close to an impossible task.

"You?" Luo Jiang stared back at Li Luo. The doubt in his eyes was not hidden at all. After all, Jiang Qing'e had nearly purified the World's End River Meteor to its limit. Even if he lent a helping hand at this point, it would have no effect whatsoever. "I just want to give it a try," Li Luo said with a smile. He knew how much of a perfectionist Jiang Qing'e was, so he wanted to try helping her out.

Luo Jiang hesitated for a moment. However, he nodded in the end. There was no harm in granting his request. Perhaps Li Luo really had some special trick up his sleeve. Maybe this generation of the Heavenly Dragon’s Five Guardian Armies would see a World's End River Meteor that had been purified to a size below five hundred feet as a result of this decision.

When was the last time such a miracle had happened? It was so far back that no one could recall. Even Li Taixuan couldn't pull it off. Li Luo expressed his gratitude to Luo Jiang with a smile. He then gripped his Grand Commander plaque rightly and focused his mind. An enormous pool of energy surged up within the Dragon Fang Formation and flowed into his body.

It was an extremely strong and domineering power. However, Li Luo did not feel any pressure when wielding it. He was familiar with it after all.

"Sister Qing'e, are you having trouble purifying the last bit of corruption?" Li Luo asked with a grin as he walked up to Jiang Qing'e.

Jiang Qing'e nodded slightly. "The energy inside is already very refined. However, the last bit of corruption is hidden so deep that even my light resonant power is having some difficulty."

"Do you need my help?" Li Luo asked with a smirk.

Jiang Qing'e looked at him in surprise. She did not ask how Li Luo was going to help, as she knew Li Luo wouldn't do meaningless things.

"Give me your hand," Li Luo said.

Jiang Qing'e took another glance at Li Luo. Her inadvertent gaze was enchanting. It was simply a rare sight for outsiders. Under the astonished gazes of the crowd, she stretched out her hand and placed it onto Li Luo's palm.

"Let me see what you're up to." She laughed lightly.

"Activate your light resonant power," Li Luo replied with a beam.

The other members of the Five Guardian Armies watched with perplexed looks on their faces. Was he trying to force his way into the limelight? What was Li Luo trying to do? Even with the strength of two thousand members, what could someone at the Greater Heavenly Resonance Tier possibly do?

Under all their confused gazes, Jiang Qing'e summoned up her dazzling light resonant power once again. At the same time, Li Luo focused his mind and activated the mysterious Auric Halo and the Acquired Resonance Flame.

The mysterious flame flowed through their tightly held hands and fused with her light resonant power.

Suddenly, the light resonant power appeared to have been imbued with flames.

Their combined energy flowed towards the giant World's End River Meteor in front of them and entered its depths.

In the next instant, everyone’s eyes went wide in disbelief. Blinding light burst out of the World's End River Meteor! Despite being extremely close to its limit, the meteor began to shrink once more!

Originally, the World's End River Meteor had a weird, irregular shape. However, it had suddenly become a sphere, and all impurities and corruption within it appeared to have been cleansed completely. Most shocking of all, the World's End River Meteor had shrunk to a size of three hundred feet! Everyone on the five golden lotus platforms was at a loss for words. The place fell into complete silence.
