Abyssal Lord of the Magi World

Chapter 715: Reunited

Chapter 715: Reunited

Book 8. The light of daybreak

Venganza’s eyes burned with a single goal. He would bring back the only person in the entire multiverse that could move his heart, the one that was even more important than himself.

The idea that a Depravita could care for others was laughable. As for those monsters choosing to sacrifice themselves for that person, that was simply impossible. Still, Venganza did not doubt that there was no price large enough to bring Sophia back.

The Law Realm lacked the power to resurrect someone whose Primordial Essence had ceased to exist, but that did not mean that the Fourth Realm was also unable to do it.

And even if the Fourth Realm lacked the power, who said that was the limit of cultivation. Life forms in the known multiverse took Rank 10 as the highest peak, but that was because of their low insight. It was like a farmer saying that a mountain was the largest in the world, only because he had not seen one larger.

Who knew what mysteries the Emptiness hid and what kind of powers those that manage to triumph in it could achieve.

Although Venganza differed significantly from other Depravitas, he still shared many of their qualities, and one that would help him significantly was the notion that nothing was enough.

“If Rank 10 is not enough, then fuck Rank 10!” Venganza boldly pronounced those words as he buried his right hand on the High World’s surface, making this one tremble.

He used the Concept of Gluttony to devour everything, the Concept of Envy to transform it all into something specially designed for his body and soul, and the Concept of Sloth to enhance the healing effect.

Venganza’s blood which currently resembled a black coagulated mud began to move again. With every revolution that it took around his body, more and more vitality reached his cells and soul.

Hades and the Sky Breakers positioned themselves outside of the High World that Venganza was devouring.

As for the other Neo-Demons, the Sky Breakers ordered them to return to their worlds and remain there until further notice.

“What should we do? The world will collapse in less than a month at this rate?” Dante asked with concern as he saw the High World, once vibrant with life, transforming into a desert.

“Ahhh, what can we do?” Hades only sighed as he spoke those words. He had fused with the NRAI, but the highest authority always remained in the hands of Zatiel, now Venganza.

The Ancient Being of Laws knew they could not do anything to stop Venganza since this one had a higher authority and power than them, but he attempted to figure out a way to save the High World.

Just as the High World was about to reach a breaking point and Hades readied himself to redirect some of the energy of the formation covering the Neo-Demon Realm, a voice echoed through the world.

“Enough.” That voice came from inside the Venganza.

Hades and the Sky Breakers saw with shock how a mighty demonic dragon emerged from the Depravita. They had monitored the events above the Styx River using the Neo-Demon Realm, so they had some idea of the demonic dragon’s identity.

As soon as the Primordial Body Incarnation exited Venganza’s body, this one grew incredibly weak, and the Silver Stars of Origin around his head vanished.

Venganza trembled at the sudden loss of power, but his eyes were firm as he stared at the mighty demonic dragon, and he did not stop devouring.

“You want to interfere with me again?” The Depravita’s eyes were cold as he stared at the Primordial Body Incarnation.

Although Venganza was in control during their fusion, that did not mean the Primordial Body Incarnation would lose his ability to think or act.

After destroying the Rank 9 Archfiends and devouring them, Venganza intended to do the same with the Justice Primarchs. Good and evil did not matter to the Depravita, but the Primordial Body Incarnation stopped him.

Since Venganza needed to be in peak condition to dominate the Incarnation of Death and Destruction, he chose to concede. Still, now there was no reason to heed the Primordial Body Incarnation.

The Primordial Body Incarnation’s eyes narrowed as he saw how Venganza kept devouring.

There should not be a conflict between the main body and the incarnations since they share the same ego, but by transforming into Depravita, Venganza became unique.

“You should submit toward me. After all, I am the original.”

Venganza’s voice was cold and full of might. However, the answer he got was equally strong.

“I am Zatiel Daybreak, and I submit to no one!” The Primordial Body Incarnation roared as his mighty aura filled the world.

Hades and the Sky Breakers all smiled when they heard that, and a sense of hope appeared in their hearts.

Venganza did not try to refute the Primordial Body Incarnation’s words since they were true. Nevertheless, that did not mean he would stop devouring.

The Primordial Body Incarnation saw the Depravita’s stubbornness, but he found a way to reach Venganza as soon as he stared at the blue-haired woman.

As he stared at Sophia, immense love, pain, and sadness emerged in the Primordial Body Incarnation’s eyes. He was Zatiel Daybreak and loved her with all his heart.

“Do you think this would make her happy?”

Intimidation could have never worked in Venganza, but when he heard that, his eyes widened, and the devouring force extending through the world froze.

The idea of harming her in any way was something the Depravita could not tolerate.

“I understand now.” The Primordial Body Incarnation’s eyes glowed with enlightenment as he saw the Depravita’s behavior.

Venganza frowned as he heard those words and focused on the Primordial Body Incarnation.

“Hmph, how could you know something I don’t?” The oddness of his nature baffled him, and the idea that someone else could figure it out made him angry.

“You are smarter in almost every sense, except when it comes to her. You were born out of our desire for revenge, which originated from our undying love for her. You are the effect and can not ignore the cause.”

Venganza’s eyes narrowed, and those words made him think, but he was unwilling to comment on his nature with the Primordial Body Incarnation. He took his hand from the High World’s surface before speaking.

“I will no longer devour this world. We should fuse to enhance our healing speed.”

“I am fine with it, but I need to do something beforehand.” The Primordial Body Incarnation did not say anything else before waving his wings and reaching the void in front of the Sky Breakers.

A large smile appeared on the demonic dragon, and he waved his claw in a somewhat clumsy way.

“Hello, sorry for scaring you all.”
