Gacha Sovereign

Chapter 489 Weak Lightning

The moment he opened his eyes, he returned to the plain white world to meet the mysterious person. Wondering what he wanted to say, Alex observed him carefully.

"Everything shall be revealed in the Strength Plateau. Never Falter."

This Strength Plateau again. It seemed that this person had a connection with the Strength Plateau, but Alex did not know their relationship. Even Song Yu emphasized this Strength Plateau very much, so he thought about asking someone to investigate the Strength Plateau, albeit he knew all of them were very busy.

There was still more than a year before the Strength Plateau was opened, so Alex decided to increase his strength first.

Coming back to reality, Alex stared at the Dragon Prince, his opponent.

"We can fight anytime." The Dragon Prince said.

*Slam!*

The door was opened as another golden dragon came in. He looked at the Dragon King, who was using his human form, so he also turned into his human form, revealing an old appearance.

Alex had seen him before when he stopped Stina from blocking him.

"Hoho… this old man is not late…" The former Dragon King, Zephyr's father, laughed. "Good, I can witness a good fight after this. Although I am a Former Dragon King, I am rooting for both of you. Do your best."

Alex simply nodded his head, not really liked this old man.

"Since the sun almost set, the battle should proceed tomorrow." The Dragon King announced.

The old man did not have an issue. Instead, he turned to Alex and asked. "Young Man, can you enlighten this old man a little, why do you want to gather the six crystals? Is it for women? Glory? Money?"

"None of the above," Alex answered.

"Oh. Then, Chaos?" The old man narrowed his eyes, asking again.

Alex simply shook his head. "I am tired of chaotic situations. The reason why I gather these six crystals is that I want to go to the other world. Even if you want to split the crystals again after I use it, I don't particularly mind."

"Go to another world? Just that?" The old man was certainly surprised. Not only him, but every single dragon in the room. They had investigated this Alexander Sirius.

They could only drop their jaws in surprise after knowing he was only 23 years old last year. This certainly blew their mind as they never saw someone this strong despite so young. Many people would surely want to make a relationship with him.

However, unlike the Human Race, Dragon Race did not really need him, since no matter what they did, there was a limit of one person can do. If he tried to create chaos, they could gather all powerful monsters from every race and bring them to Alex to kill him.

That was why when they heard their answer, they felt relieved. In fact, his answer sounded too good to be true.

"Yes. I am planning to go to the other world and I think I won't go back to this place again." Alex nodded.

"Certainly that we, or even myself, is curious about the other world. Even though we are curious, we can't go there because we were afraid the incident a few thousand years ago will repeat again.

"That is why the Dragon Race is a bit unsure of your intention and even asked the Angel Race's Seraphim about you.

"We know that you are from the other world and want to go back. However, we don't know if you will come back again and lead many people inside to attack us again… albeit, the Seraphim kept telling me that you won't do something like that.

"Just reading your expression alone is enough. You are not a person who loves war and such…

"I am not hoping my grandson would lose, but in case you win and clear the trial, then I pray for your good fortune."

Alex nodded.

The Dragon King announced out loud. "With this, I declare that we, Dragon Race, accept the challenge of Alexander Sirius. The duel shall be in the Drago Hill with me as the judge. I order all Elder Dragons to participate to ensure the battle will progress smoothly. May fortune bless both of the participants with its presence."

*Roar!*

All dragons roared, acknowledging his order. Alex and Stina were guided to the guest room, albeit Stina decided to stay together with Alex as his contracted beast.

"Master… How are you planning to fight tomorrow?" Stina asked with a worried expression. "I am sure you are aware of 'his' presence too, he is-"

"1-Star Martial Emperor." Alex continued, smiling at her. He knew that the Dragon Prince had become a Martial Emperor because he took too long to increase his strength.

Fortunately, the strength difference was not that big between 10-Star Martial King to 1-Star Martial Emperor. Just like what he experienced this entire time, each star at Martial King Stage would grant one's 10 dragon strength while the strength of 1-Star Martial Emperor was precisely 100 dragon strength, which was the acc.u.mulation of the previous ten stars.

That was why when he thought about it, Alex was not really worried about it since it would only be a difference of 10 Dragon Strength. Even if he could double it, it was only twenty dragon strength. His strength would surely not exceed five hundred dragon strength.

"Don't worry. I believe I can contend his strength with my three hundred dragon strength. As for his element, I have my own plan. I am sure you will like it too." Alex smiled, trying to assure her he was alright.

"Are you planning to use your weapons?"

"Of course. Though I will start with a bare fist to make him underestimate me, creating a perfect chance to use my intent to injure him.

"Besides, having an element of surprise will increase your chance," Alex explained. "Trust me. I would not charge blindly without any plan."

"I know." She nodded. "Anyway, I will also watch the fight to make sure no one is pulling any string."

"Kyle will also appear if there is someone who wants to interfere." She said the real reason for bringing Kyle here.

"Is that Anya's idea?"

"Yeah."

"Alright." Alex nodded and closed his eyes, returning to his preparation.

The next day, the dragon led him to Drago Hill. It was a grassy hill without any trees around it, perfect to be their arena. The hill had around five kilometers in radius, creating a giant arena for them.

There were around twenty dragons surrounding the hill to erect a barrier, so their battle would not affect the nearby environment.

On top of the hill, Qeigess stood tall, waiting for Alex to come.

Stina left Alex's side after entering the hill, clasping her hands. "May fortune be with you."

Alex smiled and appeared on top of the hill with a single leap. Looking at the Dragon in front of him, he said, "I have kept you waiting."

The Dragon snorted as he announced it out loud, "I am Qeigess, The Dragon that will become the strongest in the world!"

"Strongest huh… still, a few months ago, you were defeated by a single kick from your Elder Sister…" Alex said with a chuckle.

This left Qeigess speechless. Even Stina and Lexi, along with a few dragons, made a chuckle. The lightning started sparking around his body as he roared to the sky.

Alex just thought this was loud, nothing more. The Dragon King flew toward them and said, "Dragon Race Trial, Start!"

Qeigess quickly threw a fist toward Alex. He used every inch of his power in this fist, trying to tell Alex he was superior.

On the other hand, Alex used his Spirit Step, gathering all the energy around his body. At first, he thought he would use his Full Throttle to give him another 20% strength, but there was a time limit, so Alex did not really use it that often.

However, to fight Qeigess, this was enough. Covering his fist with Twin Sharp Domain, Alex jumped forward and punched this big fist.

Everyone was tongue-tied when they felt the sharpness around his hand. They did not know, but they felt dread of this particular power.

They dropped their jaw the moment shallow cut wounds appeared on Qeigess's hand when both fists collided. Lexi had seen this, but she also could not comprehend this power.

Qeigess only clenched his fist tighter and roared.

*Roar!*

That roar contained his rage and determination to show Alex that he was the strongest. Although he was surprised that Alex had 300 dragon strength in just a few months, he still continued his punch, trying to flatten Alex.

"!!!" Alex flew out like a cannonball and fell into the ground. However, right before he hit the ground, he shifted his body a little bit, and stepped on the air, bouncing back to the sky.

Alex just used his Sky Movement, specifically his Sky Step, at the last second. He pointed his finger at the Qeigess as his finger started shining.

"Flame of Extinction."

Alex shot out a very dangerous beam attack toward Qeigess, making him dodge to the side. He flapped his giant wing to create a gush of wind that helped him move to the side.

He looked at Alex with a surprise before flapping his wing, planning to fly.

"To think you are holding this much power beforehand! And I never thought you could improve for a mere 6-Star to a so-so 8-Star within a few months. Human, you have earned this Qeigess's respect. And I shall fight you with my full strength." Qeigess glared at him from the sky.

"..." Alex looked at him with weird eyes, wondering if he did not pay attention to the rule that his father stated.

Qeigess opened his mouth, creating a certain powerful attack from his mouth.

It was a concentrated lightning attack from the observation of his Spirit Eyes and most likely to be in the form of breath. Seeing this, Alex smiled. Without anyone noticing, Alex started drawing his array in the inside world where his Space Plate was.

In their eyes, Alex did not do anything. They even wondered if he was a fool to not dodge something like this.

"Human, what are you doing!" Qeigess was angry, thinking Alex belittled him by doing nothing.

Sadly, Alex did not even answer him, making him angrier.

"You will regret this!" Qeigess finally let out the breath, shooting it toward Alex.

Stina furrowed her eyebrows. Alex said he had a trump card for the lightning, but she could not understand why Alex did not use it. Even the Dragon King was ready to step up to stop the fight.

Contrary to their expectation, Alex simply snapped his finger, confusing them because they could not see anything unusual from that. The Dragon King started moving toward him to protect him from that blast, but suddenly, the lightning breath bent and changed its direction like it was pulled by something, missing Alex by one meter.

This was a risky move even for him as he would be injured if this trump card did not do any effect. However, to beat him black and blue, he also needed to shatter Qeigess's confidence as this was his revenge against him.

All dragons and Stina turned their heads to the side, looking at a bright rune above the ground. They were wondering since when that rune was there.

"That… that is rune…"

"Since when…"

"More like… what is that rune for?!"

They never saw this rune because, like Kyle and any other beasts, they only needed a deep sleep to breakthrough. Even Humans did not have any tribulation because their system was a bit different than cultivation.

That was why they were perplexed by this array.

They could only see that the array attracted the lightning and dispersed it to the ground, making them silent. And they heard Alex's remark, "It seems even the lightning from a dragon is not stronger than my Lightning Tribulation…"
