Chapter 1237 - Stable Like An Old Dog

Chapter 1237: Stable Like An Old Dog

On the Quan Zhen Sect’s side, Spring Halo poked Vainglory after seeing how jumpy Sword of Thunderbolt was, “I’ll bet you one hundred gold that Sword of Thunderbolt will be up for the next round.”

“Scram!” Vainglory rolled his eyes, “Betting is illegal! I will report you now!”

“Who is betting? Who wants to bet?”

Seeing that Vainglory had grown smart, Spring Halo started searching for his next prey.

Hearing what Spring Halo said, Boson scratched his chin and volunteered, “Let me go up next!”

“No!” Fearless shook his head, “This map is way too big and you’re not suitable for it!”

The bigger the map, the more uses it would have. Furthermore, Sword of Thunderbolt was never going to be a weak player given that he was also a professional expert. Even if he was truly weaker than Boson, Boson’s character and temper were going to result in his defeat.

In a landform like this, the less calm and collected you are, the higher the possibilities of going down… The enmity between Boson and Sword of Thunderbolt was so deep that there was no way Boson could remain calm and collected against Sword of Thunderbolt.

As for calmness… Fearless thought about it before saying, “Brother Spring, this match will be yours!”

Spring Halo gave a thumbs up and said, “No problem!”

Having an old player was like having a treasure. Even though Spring Halo was wretched in many sense, he had always been the most stable safeguard as the oldest player in the Quan Zhen Sect.

Before Wang Yu’s arrival, Spring Halo had always been the one doing the dirty jobs.

Bullying Boson was equivalent to bullying the Quan Zhen Sect and Boson’s enemy was indeed Quan Zhen Sect’s enemy. Boson’s girlfriend is… also his girlfriend.

Since this was the logic applied here, Spring Halo was naturally going to take up the responsibility to and obligation to avenge Boson.

Shortly after, Sword of Thunderbolt and Spring Halo were transported to the arena.

“This old thief again!”

Seeing Spring Halo’s face, most of the spectators and professional players watching on let out an astonished expression.

A Shaman was not a job suited for a solo fight. Appearing in a solo fight was enough to leave a deep impression in everyone’s mind.

After entering, Spring Halo did not summon his ten demons. This was because in the competitive arena, his summoning skill was severely restricted. His demon of wars could only last for one minute.

It couldn’t be helped. After all, there was a fundamental difference between the PVP map and the game map. If a player could bring an army to fight the enemy, it was naturally going to tilt the balance of the fight.

Spring Halo moved forward instead of staying at his spot.

Just when Spring Halo arrived at the middle of the map, he came to a sudden halt and stood there.

Looking at this, everyone was dumbfounded.

Everyone had the viewpoint of God so they were able to see the position and field of view of both players.

The moment Spring Halo came to a halt, the distance between Sword of Thunderbolt and Spring Halo’s field of view was less than a metre.

Spring Halo was certainly unable to see his target beyond his field of view. Hence, there was only one explanation as to why Spring Halo stopped moving at this exact moment. That was Spring Halo actually figured out Sword of Thunderbolt’s position based on his movement speed.

An application problem like this was actually not that hard. Even a primary school student would know that time x speed = distance. The key was that the two players in the arena were constantly moving and it was immensely hard to tell his own position in a forest like this. Being able to calculate and estimate the position of his opponent proved his frightening capability.

Just when everyone was still in astonishment, Sword of Thunderbolt and Spring Halo saw each other.

“Haha!”

Spring Halo smiled as he summoned a poisonous fog towards Sword of Thunderbolt.

However, a Shaman’s release of poisonous fog was too slow and Sword of Thunderbolt simply dodged to the side to avoid Spring Halo’s skill. Following which, he leaned over and charged towards Spring Halo.

“Che!”

Everyone from Kingdom of Hell rolled their eyes when they saw how Sword of Thunderbolt fought.

F*ck! This fella charged at his opponent just like the rest of them did! What rights did he have to look down on them previously?!

Of course, what the fellas from Kingdom of Hell failed to consider was the fact that Spring Halo was a Shaman while Sword of Thunderbolt was a Warrior…

A Warrior’s fighting style was this straightforward. Sword of Thunderbolt’s lecture was about not charging forward blindly for the opponent to strike first.

Now that both of them crossed paths, he was naturally going to strike first to take the initial advantage of the battle. Otherwise, was he really going to let a Shaman take the lead in this fight? That was just being hard on himself.

The reason why Fearless didn’t let Boson up was precisely because he knew this.

As a new player in the squad, Sword of Thunderbolt was naturally going to be pushed aside. However, this fella was a strategist hired personally by their boss. As Kingdom of Hell finally managed to secure sponsorship, they were naturally going to ‘respect’ him a little. This was why Sword of Thunderbolt actually suffered a drop in reputation from the very beginning.

After being played by Fearless, that remaining reputation he had left in the squad was gone.

What rights did he have to think that he was above the rest? It was acceptable if he won the fight but if he was killed like everyone else, nobody would ever listen to a single word coming out from Sword of Thunderbolt’s mouth.

“Haha!”

Spring Halo smiled when he saw Sword of Thunderbolt charging towards him. He knocked his staff against the ground to release [Poison Nova].

“Swoosh!”

Rings of poison flew out in 360 degrees from Spring Halo’s body.

“Tsk!”

Sword of Thunderbolt grunted coldly as his thin sword was aimed at Spring Halo. It turned into a sword radiance that flew towards him.

[Stinging Thunderbolt]!

[Stinging Thunderbolt] was an exclusive skill. After locking onto the target, the user would basically fly towards the target to cause damage in multiple stages. Throughout the sprint, the user cannot be attacked.

[Stinging Thunderbolt] was a skill that could attack and avoid being attacked. The invincibility effect of the sprint was enough to help Sword of Thunderbolt avoid Spring Halo’s [Poison Nova].

“Shua! Shua! Shua! Shua!”

Sword of Thunderbolt charged forward like a light ray as he swung his sword in all four directions. However, it didn’t take him long to realise that Spring Halo was already missing.

Could he be dead?

Sword of Thunderbolt was slightly taken aback as he looked around. He noticed that a blood swamp was moving not too far away from him.

“Trying to run?”

Sword of Thunderbolt wielded his sword and chased after that blood swamp. Before he could catch up, he saw a black ring under his legs.

[Dark Barrier]!!

Sword of Thunderbolt was immensely shocked as he quickly used [Charge] to get out of the range of the Dark Barrier as he stepped on Spring Halo’s blood swamp.

At this point, Spring Halo had already turned back into his human form as he stood in front of Sword of Thunderbolt.

Sword of Thunderbolt swung his sword as Spring Halo simply jumped backwards to avoid that strike. Just when Sword of Thunderbolt was about to move forward to stab Spring Halo again, he realised he couldn’t move his feet.

“???”

Sword of Thunderbolt looked down to see thorns emerging from the leaves beneath his feet…

“Take care! I won’t be sending you off!”

Spring Halo gave a thumbs-up as ten demons surrounded Sword of Thunderbolt.
