Never Judge

Chapter 541 - 541

"Are you alright, Adri?" Cedric asked as he played with his wife's hand in his. "You've been silent since Francesca told you about her brother and her ex-fiance."

"I just can't believe someone could be as cruel as Aiden." Adrianna said with a frown as she rested her head on Cedric's shoulder.

"You saw what he did to Mia, to mom, to Jam. There is clearly something wrong with him." Cedric said, shaking his head.

"Cedric, would you kill for reasons that shallow?" Adrianna asked him.

"Adri, why would you even ask that?" Cedric said, looking at his wife.

"I don't know, this vengeful side of yours, it's just a side I've never seen." Adrianna said with a frown.

"Adri, look at me." Cedric said, lifting his wife to face him. "I would never kill, I try to avoid death as much as possible. I have no right to take a person's life, sending them to prison is still subject to many things."

"Promise me that Cedric, promise me that unless you absolutely had to, you wouldn't play god and take someone's life." Adrianna said in a tearful tone as she hugged her husband tightly, as if he would disappear if she let go.

"I promise Adri, I promise not to kill unless I have no other choice." Cedric said as he planted a kiss on his wife's head, stroking it gently.

By the time they finally arrived at their Mountain View Mansion, Adrianna was fast asleep in Cedric's arms.

He looked down at his sleeping wife, he could see that she was exhausted, she had come from work, readied herself, and then left with him for the event. He knew Adrianna had also been the one to confirm with the organizers that he would be attending.

She even spoke to Dave about clearing up his schedule so that they could go together. She was doing this so he could relax, let go of all of his worries. Think of something other than revenge.

Cedric didn't want to admit it, but he had a vengeful heart. Ever since his mom's death his sole focus had been to capture Aiden and make him pay.

Many things might have happened in between, but Cedric's goal remained the same. To bring his mother's murderer to justice. Only then would he be able to move on with his life.

Cedric looked back down at Adrianna, she was so fast asleep that it pained him to wake her up. He decided to simply carry her from the car and help her prepare for bed.

The staff at the Mountain View Mansion were no longer surprised by Cedric's dedication to his wife, he was a whipped husband. He did anything and everything his wife wanted and he spoiled her endlessly.

Many of the female staff wished for a husband like Cedric, while the male staff hoped that their wives wouldn't see how Cedric pampered his wife, or else they would ask for the same treatment.

"Is my son in bed?" Cedric asked Emilio's nanny as he entered the house.

"No sir, he is with his grandparents." The nanny informed him.

"Please make sure he gets to bed early." Cedric told the nanny. "If he asks to see his mom tell him she is exhausted and needs to rest."

"Yes sir." The nanny said with a nod.

Cedric continued to the elevator and took his wife up to their bedroom.

Inside he made sure to peel off her clothes, remove her jewelry, and gently wipe off her makeup.

He drew up a warm and relaxing bath for the two of them. He placed his wife in and climbed into the bathtub behind her.

He was surprised at how fast asleep Adriana was, she didn't even wake when he washed her and lifted her back out of the tub and dressed her.

He placed her gently on their bed and wrapped a warm blanket around her. He watched as she slept. Planting gentle kisses all over her, hoping it would wake her. Unfortunately, Adrianna was too exhausted to notice her husband's affectionate actions.

"Oh Adri." Cedric said as he hugged her sleeping figure tightly.

As he was about to sleep, his phone suddenly rang, making him groan in annoyance.

When he rolled over to check who it was, he was shocked to see Ray's name.

"Ray, this better be good." Cedric hissed as he got up and walked out of their bedroom.

Despite Adrianna being fast asleep, Cedric had no plans of risking waking her up just because of Ray's call.

"We found him." Ray announced proudly. "We've discovered where Aiden is hiding."

"Are you sure?" Cedric asked, he had to be sure, he couldn't risk raiding a holy place just to find out that Aiden had tricked them.

"Yes, we are sure." Ray proudly announced. "He was spotted going in and out of the compound, his men are also there."

"Where is he hiding?" Cedric asked.

"Saint Paul's Convent." Ray told him.

"A nunnery?" Cedric asked, slightly amused that Aiden had decided to hide with nuns.

"Not just a nunnery. The nuns run a school nearby, guess it's connection to Aiden." Ray teased his brother-in-law.

"This guessing game is annoying me, but I'll play along." Cedric said with a sigh. "He donates to this school?" Cedric asked.

"Nope, wrong, guess again." Ray said with a laugh.

"I don't want to play this game." Cedric said in an annoyed tone. "Tell me."

"It's where he and Benedict studied for elementary and high school." Ray finally explained.

"Such a sentimental man for a bad guy." Cedric said with a chuckle. "Are you sure it's not a decoy?" Cedric asked.

"How many times do I have to tell you, we checked." Ray said over the phone.

"Alright, ready everyone, we move the day after tomorrow." Cedric ordered. "I'll tell Merrick to organize my men too."

"Alright." Ray said. "Oh, and nice speech by the way." Ray teased as he dropped the call.

Cedric was too happy to bother with Ray's comment. He quickly dialed Merrick's number and asked him to come up.

They would need to act fast, they didn't know if Aiden would be changing locations soon, they needed to get the upper hand again.
