Chapter 1648 1641: Magi (7)

Chapter 1648 1641: Magi (7)

Unprecedented and daring.

These two words perfectly describe Wei Wuyin and his Astral Souls' journey through cultivation. This task of challenging to establish himself as a Magi was no different, choosing the Dao of Creation itself rather than any of the lesser Daos. Wei Wuyin was entirely unaware of the significance or importance of doing so, but he understood that there were bound to be vast and profound implications.

If they had failed and become classified as a Magi Servant among the established hierarchy, Wei Wuyin would have abandoned the Magi lineage entirely regardless of their grand origins. The idea of being classified as a servant was beneath what his pride would allow. Additionally, Fuxi subtly hinted that only Magi Commoner had prospects to rise higher, not a Magi Servant.

"My ascension took nearly three months, I wonder what developments the No-Name Galaxy and the others experienced," Wei Wuyin leisurely mused as he waited for the completion of whatever inheritance bestowal procedure that was happening. He could only imagine how glorious it was.

Before his ascent into the Mystic Ascendant Realm, Wei Wuyin had played the role of a bandit and framer, placing seeds of deceit all over, while taking nearly every material and resource that he could get his access to, barring Sage-led forces and Alchemist Organizations. This was bound to create incredible levels of chaos within the No-Name Galaxy with far-reaching implications.

"HAAAAAAAA!"

Suddenly, Wei Wuyin felt his True Soul take an incredibly deep breath as if trying to absorb as much as potentially possible. A strange feeling of soul expansion occurred as if it was filled with ten tons of water without warning. His Mind's Eye rumbled chaotically as watery ripples occurred everywhere.

The faint sensation of crisis flashed across every iota of his soul, yet it seemed to have been just an initial panic of uncertainty, like a newborn calf unsure if it was drinking too much or too little milk out of fear. Yet when the watery ripples and expansion arrived with explosive suddenness, his True Soul was entirely unharmed.

Wei Wuyin, for the first time, felt the intense strength of his True Soul and Soul and was capable of understanding the staggeringly beneficial result of having his soul refined by the Calamity of Hell's blades and flames, his four-split-merge of his True Soul during his quadrupled Seed Gate Tribulation, and Fuxi's guidance. The last was subtle and his tribulation was remarkably recent.

But when his soul gave rise to a heat of Originfire carrying the power of the soul-scorching Hellfire, seemingly refining the gargantuan infusion of external power without harm, meanwhile Ori's incessant laughter echoed in the background like a far distant mirage, Wei Wuyin was relieved to hear.

Wei Wuyin had assumed that the tests and tribulation had been completed after their triumphant laughter of his four Astral Souls and his Second Mind, yet the inheritance bestowal itself was a tribulation that tested the strength of his soul relative to his gains. If he hadn't undergone his Seed Gate Tribulation, he might not have been able to accept whatever was given to him, forced to slowly excavate its potential power.

This type of slow excavation was commonly used by inheritance bestowals, especially from mortals to Ascended beings, as the barrier between Mortal and Mystic understanding left an unfathomably large gap that would leave everyone helpless, so they would leave behind Seeds, etchings, or an object that contained the legacy for later so they could unlock it then.

Wei Wuyin hadn't received this type of inheritance before, but suave Wei Wuyin who perished at his hands in the River of Time had practiced a few methods like this for the eventuality of his children and disciples, remaining hopeful of a bright and successful future away from the Eighteen Calamities of Hell and all the rampant, underlying dangers that laid around him. Unfortunately...

Wei Wuyin wasn't currently the primary controller of his body, having surrendered control to his Second Mind and his Astral Souls, the latter of which would never do anything ridiculous such as support the former to take over as the primary, and the former that didn't want to be primary. After the infusion, Wei Wuyin's two minds instinctively connected, and a flood of memories and feelings smashed into him.

He felt exhaustion, satisfaction, and the neurotic urge to study in the comfort of his library. This feeling once again made Wei Wuyin realize his Second Mind was entirely bereft of ideas for possession or attempting to exist independently. In actuality, the Second Mind always considered itself a part of him and treated itself much like a fifth Spirit of Cultivation that can do what it loved without any time limit, nor had to constantly agonize over how to deal with the calamities or those women.

While his soul was expanded to an unnatural extent, Wei Wuyin wanted to chuckle after reading such a ridiculous perspective. But he could now sigh with relief at the elimination of that prospect. Moreover, he knew that this was deliberately shown by the Second Mind.

Normally, they would at most transfer relevant memories and knowledge periodically, so the Second Mind was living through Wei Wuyin most of the time, experiencing what he was experiencing, yet not actively deciding. While Wei Wuyin was studying through the Second Mind without rest, developing knowledge at an astounding rate.

They both possessed a crazy level of Enlightened Scholarly Mist and it was all contained within the Palace of Eden for the Second Mind to play with. At times, waves would be released to stimulate his thoughts and allow him to process information at a greater level, or silently influence his combat tactics and ongoing knowledge of Ascension Arts, tactics, etc., during the battle.

Magi Royalty.

These were two words that were at the top of the Magi hierarchy, above Magi Noble, Magi Commoner, and Magi Servant. Fuxi had implied that the level of his cultivation method gained would be affected by his choice for now and could be rectified at a later point. However, he didn't know the degree of incomplete cultivation methods or their varying degrees until just now.

He was first given the Magi Servant inherited legacy given to those who failed their Dao Acknowledgments, shocking him as he slowly digested all this information pouring into his soul from the outside.

Firstly, the Magi Servant received the Celestial Eyes of Spiritual Divinity at its barest state-the Gaze of the Celestial, without any additional formations such as the Eye of Immortality, Eye of Illusion, Eye of Truth, and the Eye of Creation. The Gaze of the Celestial was the fundamental power of his Celestial Eyes, and it possessed the ability to visually perceive at a higher rate by directing every physical, mental, and spiritual sense into the eyes. It wasn't a Spiritual Spell, just as Wei Wuyin thought, but an innate spell.

An innate spell was something derived from one's innate spirit, otherwise known as their soul. Since he was born, his silver-colored irises indicated the latent potential of this innate spell. The inheritance showed how to properly use that spell. Because of this innate spell, many things could be perceived by a Magi, bypassing a lot of restrictions.

The one that Wei Wuyin was most familiar with was the ability to perceive different forms of normally imperceptible energies and essences such as Mystic, Immortal, and other strange esoteric forces like the quintessence of the world. It established the foundation for the following spells like the Eye of Illusion and Eye of Truth while actively refining the Eyes to be able to contain and gather objects or auras like a faint trace of immortal aura for the Eye of Immortality and the Divine Seed of Creation For the Eye of Creation that possessed the lingering power of great daos.

It was beyond mystical and incredible, but Wei Wuyin discovered that the Gaze of the Celestial that he cultivated was merely the most incomplete version. It lacked critical aspects!

The Magi Servant also received a Mental Incantation Method that was more of a basic mnemonic. The basic description was that it steadied the mind, strengthen the soul, and focused the will. There was literally nothing else described in terms of its usage, and a brief overview was enough to see that it wasn't abnormally powerful or weak, yet could assist in the utilization of the Gaze of the Celestial and likely was the advanced version of the method that Wei Wuyin was missing.

Moreover, while Wei Wuyin still referred to it as the Gaze of the Celestial, the actual term for the technique was the Magi's Gaze of Celestial Providence and Worldly Unity.

Then, the Magi Commoner had far greater detail! The most important was that their Gaze of the Celestial didn't just unite Physical, Mental, and Spiritual, but merged the Soul!

Those with the Gaze of the Celestial at this level acquired Soul Perception! This was no different than the great power only possessed by Enlightened Sages and beings far beyond the Mystic Ascendant Realm, those experts at the Resonant Soul Realm!

"..."

But it wasn't over yet...

The Mental Incantation was named here, far further developed, and it triggered a memory of Wei Wuyin's childhood!

Within Wei Wuyin's memories from his time listening and learning countless tales in the Myriad Yore Continent. No-it originated from a song that his mother often sang to him when he was young, cradling in her warm bosom, despite her mental state and this occurred when she very briefly, often preluding a lapse of memory.

It was named the Scroll of Akashic, the Records of the Magi! The method to create an Akashic Record of Creation!
