Reborn As A Dragon Girl With A System

Chapter 776: Those Who Were Left Behind

Chapter 776: Those Who Were Left Behind

Hell, one year ago….

“Are you sure about this?” Four girls stood in front of Methiesee, Keniil, and the new queen of hell, Mary.

“Methie. The kids are all old now with their own kids. I worked hard to become a goddess as quickly as possible. And now…. I have. I can now work even harder to one day meet back up with Kana. You know she was my first true friend. She came to my aid all the time and saved me many times. If what that old man says is true that she will need people there to stand by her side and aid her, then I am willing to leave Hell and go on a journey to become stronger. After all, I always wanted to become a hero.” Kiliffia said as her fluffy tail swayed and her fox ears twitched. She hated leaving her husband, but she had to. She owned Kana so much.

“Mmm… Keniil, I leave the kingdom in your hands. As Kiliffia said, I, too, owe Kana a lot. I will not allow her to go through what is to come without being there to help her the best I can. ” Tilia remembered her time with Kana, her sister, not by blood. Even though Kana said she did not trust humans at that time, she still assisted her and helped her arrive safely at the capital. She saved the Rural Kingdom on more than one occasion. Because of Kana helping her, she was able to have a wonderful family. While things, in the end, did not go well due to the strange insects that could not be killed, Tilia was able to rebuild the kingdom in Hell and continued her family line.

“Don’t worry about these two. We will watch over them.” Yuthia said in a lazy manner while yawning. She and Sei had not been sitting idle at all this entire time. With everything that happened, they decided to begin leveling once more. In the past years, their level had risen to that of Ascended and planned to power level the others to allow their levels to quickly rise so they could evolve.

“We leave our wives in your hands. Yuthia, I swear if my wife dies, I will hunt you down with my entire being.” Methiesee said coldly, but all he got was Yuthia smiling back at him while she dug her ear and Sei standing on the other side of her holding her head.

After a few moments, Yuthia looked at her finger and blew on it before saying: “Don’t worry, uncle, I will deliver Kana’s fluff without a single scratch on her.”

“Hoho! So will you?” A voice came from behind Yuthia, almost making her jump out of her skin. She turned to see the old man who had been visiting them off and on and was the one who got the two girls wanting to help Kana. “That’s good to hear because I plan to send you to a place that will need all four of you to fight with everything you have. Don’t worry. The one thing I can promise is that none of you will die.”

The old man looked over at Methiesee and Keniil and smiled. “Don’t worry. Even if they do get hurt, they will one day return here before heading to the sea of stars. If you two wish, you can also join them.”

“No… I must stay here and keep an eye on the place my wife has created. I may not be much, but I am the king of this land after all. If my Queen is not here, someone has to watch over it.” Keniil was the first to answer.

“Yes, the farm still needs me to work there. My grandkids are also roaming around, so I must make sure they stay out of trouble. If Killi wishes to go on her journey, there is no reason for me to stop her. I just hope she can return to me.” Methiesee replied with a smile.

“Then we shall be going.” The old man didn’t even wait for them to finish saying their goodbyes before waving his hand and disappearing with Kiliffia and the rest.

“Wha? That damn old man!” Methiesee was so mad his face was bright red. Keniil’s expression also wasn’t good. He didn’t even get to give his little wife a kiss goodbye!

Keniil let out a sigh as he looked up at the sky above. “Methiesee, there is no need to be angry. Time for us is a fleeting moment anyway. We should just strive to keep our promises to those we love.”

“You know, Keniil, sometimes I wonder how a lich king can even be so damn passive. I want to punch that old man so bad!” Methiesee kicked the dirt and turned and walked away. Keniiil chuckled and followed behind him with his hands behind his back. They were clenched together and were starting to bleed. He, too, was not happy at all.

Still standing there in a daze Mary turned and looked at the two men walking away in a huff and felt very… Left out….. “I was here too you know!”

Kana was currently placing down the last object of the array she had set up to gather all the spiritual qi into one place. The formation lit up for a split second before finally dimming. Kana could already feel the spiritual qi in the air becoming denser. “This is only a level two array, but it should be good enough.”

Kana walked out to the sitting room and took out her storage box. After opening it, she took out the large spirit stone she acquired from when she met Kori and placed it in the middle of the room. Soon the whole room became enshrouded in a dense mist of spiritual qi. “There. With this, we should all be able to cultivate quickly.”

“This is truly amazing, Mama!” Yana was truly impressed.

“Mama, since everything is settled, I will be heading to the realm of souls. I will stop in every so often to make sure everything is okay.” Angelica said as she dived into Kana, hugging her tightly.

Everyone was about to begin their cultivation adventure. Angelica knew her cultivation was different, so she could not stay here. While she could slowly progress if she did stay, it would be years behind the rest. Only by cultivating in the realm of souls would she be able to keep up with everyone else.

“I will be waiting. Angelica, if anyone dares bully you, you come tell Mama, okay? I will rush over there and beat them up for you.”
