Chapter 820: Proper Teachings Part 2

Chapter 820: Proper Teachings Part 2

Lord Yong’s face turned black. He looked at the disciple from the Rising Cloud sect whose face had gone pale and had dropped to his knees and shook his head. “Your elder will be here soon. We will deal with this when he gets here.”

“Was I in the wrong?” Kana asked. She did not see anything wrong with getting rid of people who would kill their own peoples’ side over some stupid treasure.

“No…. Technically, you did not do anything wrong, but things will get sticky between two major sects.” Lord Yong replied with a sigh. It was true that Kana really had not done anything wrong. But it still did not make things easy. Even if she was in the right, she should not have said anything out loud like she did. But now, she has announced it to all the disciples that came from the other sects.

Thirty minutes later, all the surviving elders showed up, now mostly healed thanks to high grade healing pills that Lord Yong handed out. The elder of the Rising Cloud sect walked over to the only disciple he saw from his sect and asked: “Mo Lin, where are the others?”

“Elder Zi…. They are… They are dead….” Mo Lin replied with his head lowered. He did not dare raise his head to look his sect elder in the face.

“Dead!? How are they dead!? Wasn’t little Zhen with you!? Tell me what happened this instant!” The elder yelled out in panic and anger. Zhen Chang had been his sect’s hope of rising up. They put so many resources into him that many were going without.

“He won’t be able to tell you what happened.” Lord Yong cut in, knowing this was not going to end well no matter what he said. “Your disciples attacked people from Moon Crest Academy, and they died by Kana’s hand.”

“What!? How dare you kill my disciples! Bring out this Kana right now! I will bring her back to my sect to deal with her!”Elder Zi’s roar of anger only got strange looks from the rest of the disciples and some of the elders in the know.

“Oh? You want to take me somewhere and deal with me?” A tender sweet voice entered Elder Zi’s ears, but to him, this was like listening to the voice of death because he knew this voice very well. He had just heard it no more than a half hour ago.

He turned his stiff neck to make himself look at the person who had just spoken. His movements were so slow that it barely looked like he was moving at all. Sweat began to form on his forehead and visibly rolled down his face to his chin before freeing itself from his body and falling to the ground leaving a small wet stain.

When he finally got his head turned and saw that bright smile on the demon goddess’s face, he stumbled backward, but to his horror, the demon goddess herself had stepped forward and supported him so that he would not fall. He wanted to scream: Just let me fall to my death, but no words could come out of his mouth at this time. He dared not speak a word in case he angered the demon goddess in front of him.

Kana gently straightened out Elder Zi’s clothes as she spoke softly. “You know…. They say the teacher should bear the sins of their students for not teaching them correctly. A teacher is like a second parent to a student. They should guide them and teach them properly so that they can go out into society and live good lives. But….”

Kana paused as she patted Elder Ni’s shoulder. “Someone failed to teach your disciples the proper way to work with others. Greed is not a good thing and will only bear conflict. While you can fight for the right to treasure to kill people who are willing to give way and allow you to take the treasure, that is not something any decent person would do. The disciples of Moon Crest Academy wanted to give way and give your people the rights to the treasure, but he wouldn’t let them go. I watched as he took pleasure in bullying the weak.”

Kana stepped back and looked at all the other disciples there. “When someone has power. When someone has the ability to protect what is right and what is wrong, you should not use that power to become evil in return. Strength might rule our world, but if we use our strength to make a better future, we can stand strong and united, and no devil cultivator will be able to do what they did today. But….”

Kana turned and looked at all the elders before continuing: “To do that, the younger generation needs to be taught properly, so the older generation needs to take their heads out of their butts and properly teach their disciples. Because I will say this now, do not try to kill people from my Moon Crest Academy, or there might just be a few less sects on this continent.”

Lord Yong held his head. Kana just gave an unmasked threat to every sect here. But at the same time, he hoped that maybe this would bring in an era of peace. He hoped from now on, with no devil cultivators around, that they could now work towards bettering themselves for the greater good like Kana mentioned. He went to go and add to what Kana said, but just as he opened his mouth, a void opened in front of him, and an old man with a charred beard and bad wounds stepped out of it. “Kana!”

Kana looked at the old man who had left a while ago to go investigate what she found a while back, standing there with a missing limb and severe wounds. “Old man, what happened!?”

“I found the pillar….” The old man took a deep breath as he cast a healing spell on himself, instantly regenerating his arm and healing his wounds. But he still looked ragged and out of breath. “But, we now have a huge problem. That pillar got ahold of some of my divine energy because I was careless. That pillar was only a means of whatever it was to gain power. Now because of my mistake a seal has broken and chaos beings are appearing!”
