“For the Horde!”

“Long live the Alliance!”

Such cries were growing increasingly popular in the game world. Lu Li was already broke within a day and a half of training.

Before the huge event ‘Defence of Azeroth: Invasion of the Scourge’, there was another event called the Battle of Hillsbrad.

The existence of the Scourge was always present at the Plaguelands. The original king of Lordaeron had already been conquered by the Scourge. Only the Alliance and the Horde managed to resist. Large-scale battles were still yet to begin, but the smaller battles were fairly regular.

Now, the a large, world-based quest for defending Azeroth was released for players to complete.

However, deep-rooted hatred was shared between the Alliance and the Horde. Therefore, an agreement was made where they would have a fight and resolve this conflict.

These battles were instigated by the players, which affected their grind for levels. Many NPCs also joined these battles.

“I want you to kill Glave,” Garona suddenly said when she appeared in front of Lu Li.

Lu Li was busy admiring the scenery as he trained, but it was unfortunate that Garona appeared.

“I will accept, my teacher.”

Lu Li didn’t think that there was anything wrong with Garona appearing suddenly. He did not hesitate as he accepted her request, but asked, “However, I think I have the right to know why. As you have history with Glave, he must be a difficult opponent.”

“Glave is an old Orc warrior. He was already a prominent warrior during the era of Draenor. Blackhand named him as one of his most trusted people,” Garona said softly.

Blackhand. When Lu Li heard this name, he couldn’t help but tremble a little.

Some might not know the name, but they would have heard of the Destroyer, a former Chieftain of the Blackrock Clan. Even the most basic understanding of Azeroth’s history would reveal the horror behind this name.

Gul’dan and Medivh opened the Dark Portal, then used a puppet Chieftain and commanded legions of Orcs and entered Azeroth. This Chieftain was Blackhand.

Before the Orcs invaded Azeroth, Blackhand was already a prominent name in history.

If this Glave was one of Blackhand’s most trusted, then his own history would have been well-known.

Under Blackhand’s rule, the Blackrock Clan became the strongest clan in all the lands. They lived in the Gorgrond Mountains alongside the Gronnskin and the Ogres. They slowly developed greyish-black skin due to the long years of living in extreme heat. They also had frequent, never-ending clashes with the Ogres, which helped to develop their strong bodies and cunning battling methods.

Blackhand was the most cunning warrior among their ranks. No matter who the opponents were, he was able to find and exploit their weaknesses. As a result, he led the Blackrock Clan to prominence and prosperity.

The name Blackhand did not originate from Lu Li being unlucky with looting equipment. There was another story to this.

Orgrim Doomhammer, Blackrock’s right-hand man, planned to change his Legendary weapon, Doomhammer. As a result, he threw it in a pool of molten lava. However, the Elementals punished him for his actions, so they sealed the weapon within the molten lava.

Throughout the years, countless Orcs hoped to retrieve this hammer, but none were successful.

During this time, the Ogres were slowly taking over the territory of the Blackrock Clan. The Ogres then cornered them in the Blackrock Foundry. Before the night of the final battle, Orgrim returned to the cave where the Doomhammer was forged and repented of his actions. Blackhand then came along with Orgrim and tried to retrieve the Doomhammer.

The Elementals felt the desire and determination that Blackhand had to rescue the Blackrock Clan, even if the cost was at his own life. Blackhand did not want to rescue the clan for his own glory and pride, but for the clan itself.

The Elementals then decided to return the Doomhammer to Blackhand. Then, they taught him the history behind Doomhammer and allowed him to use it to forge other weapons for the clan.

However, the Elementals also told Blackhand that although he was unworthy of the Doomhammer, he played an important role in the prophecy of the Doomhammer. The Elementals then left an eternal mark on Blackhand’s right hand of this promise. This mark was a shell made out of Blackrock, where molten lava flowed within.

Blackhand then used the knowledge that the Elementals had bestowed upon him and equipped the whole clan with armor and weapons. After this, he led the ambush against the Ogres before the dawn and annihilated the Ogres. From then on, he decided to call himself Blackhand to commemorate this historic event.

Glave was Blackhand’s most trusted person and happily changed his name. From then on, this little warrior became one of Blackhand’s killing machines. Where Blackhand pointed, he would go with his legion and flatten anything and anyone that he came across.

After experiencing many battles, Glave was much weaker than in his prime. Most of his legion was dead, but he was still revered as a legendary warrior. In the Battle of Hillsbrad, he was the commander of the Horde.

“My birth came at a cost.”

Garona, who was usually calm usually bore no expressions, suddenly flashed a face of pain and suffering.

Could Glave be Garona’s father? Lu Li froze. Suddenly, he was struck on the back of his head by Garona.

As Lu Li got back up, he realised that he was only left with a sliver of HP.

What a level of damage control! No wonder she was a legendary god-level Thief.

“Stop thinking so much,” Garona scolded, then continued, “I want you to kill Glave, because he killed my mother. She was my only family. However, I was forced to swear an oath to never touch that scum.”

“Can’t any assassin from the group kill him?” Lu Li asked, still hesitant.

“Only my sons or students can kill him, otherwise, the promise would be broken,” Garona explained as she slowly calmed down. “If you decide to reject this request, I can understand.”

“I will accept, but I don’t have the absolute confidence that I will be able to complete this quest. After all, he is a general of the Orcs,” Lu Li said truthfully.

This Battle of Hillsbrad also allowed Lu Li to recall a memory from his previous life.

However, he didn’t know much about the commanders from both sides. He didn’t even know who they were. Therefore, it wasn’t possible for him to be killed by one of them.
