Chapter 1593 - A Massive Trap

Chapter 1593: A Massive Trap

Basically, all of the Enhanced Skill Books were extremely popular, besides the skills that weren’t used frequently.

Wealthy people could buy henchmen, followers, women and Epic equipment. However, there were two things that couldn’t be bought with money. These were Skill Points, because they were untradeable, and Enhanced Skill Books. This was because there weren’t many people capable enough of finding them.

There were many mercenary groups that were extremely powerful and could achieve everything. Even if it was the Molten Core (although obviously not on Nightmare Difficulty), they would be able to bring you along and complete the dungeon. However, it was almost impossible for them to find an Enhanced Skill Book, even with a time frame of half a year.

For example, there was Lu Li’s Enhanced Sinister Strike. It was said that if Lu Li’s opponent was hit by his Sinister Strike, they would only be left with a sliver of HP. Then, a final skill would be able to finish him.

How could City Smoke not be excited?

How could Whinging Hollow not be excited?

However, Eagle Cutesie wasn’t that happy. He now felt regretful in selling this piece of information. If he hadn’t done so and triggered the quest himself, he would have received two Epic items and now, an Enhanced Skill Book. With these, he could have entered Ruling Sword’s core elite squad.

As for his loyalty to Ruling Sword, that didn’t matter and didn’t exist. He prioritised his personal gain above everything.

“Don’t worry, respected Mr. Ed Harris. There are hundreds of thousands of reinforcements from a large-sized club behind us. If there are anyone who threatens you, they will become our enemy,” Whinging Hollow promised. His aim was to complete all of Lu Li’s quests.

Only these NPCs could give out Enhanced Skill Books at this time.

At the very least, there weren’t any Mentors who gave out Enhanced Skill Books. Lu Li was the first NPC that could give out Enhanced Skill Books.

Truthfully speaking, Lu Li couldn’t just confirm the quest’s rewards that easily. He had thought about his plan, as well as the quest rewards. With the capability of Ruling Sword, he would most definitely be able to take out two Epic Thief equipment with above average stats. However, Enhanced Skill Books were definitely worth much more than that. Even with his ability, there was no way that he would be able to simply procure one.

Fortunately, an Enhanced Skill Book had dropped from today’s Instance Dungeon run. He personally messaged Water Fairy about her progress in learning this skill. He confirmed with her that she hadn’t begun learning it because her execution rate was still not high enough. Therefore, if she had learnt it, she wouldn’t be able to maximise the damage.

Upon knowing this, he asked Water Fairy to send the book into his mail.

This way, he would be able to put the Enhanced Sinister Strike skill book as the quest reward. After all, it was in his mail, so the ownership was his.

The main thing was that he couldn’t trade the two Epic items and the Enhanced Sinister Strike skill book after locking them in as the quest rewards. Furthermore, once the person completed his quest, this skill book would automatically be given to them.

Of course, Lu Li wouldn’t give out an easily completed quest.

Lu Li wasn’t planning on giving them a hard quest, but an impossible quest. After all, the quest involved fighting against the Mok’Nathal Ogres. This was a group of Ogres who were already extinct. Their souls just remained wandering on the lands.

One of these spirit monsters was able to instantly kill any player who was under level 60.

Even a level 60 player with decent equipment wouldn’t be able to take more than two hits, so no one would want to deal with these monsters who had a horrible drop rate. If there were people who received a quest involving these Ogres, they would also eventually give up on the quest after dying a few times.

It was said that there was a courageous Chieftain in the Mok’Nathal clan called Kithar. Upon completing his ritual as a young Ogre, he decided to challenge the Chieftain of the Ogres. Using his own power, strength and courage, he managed to take the throne.

At this time, there was a four-man Orc Scouting team from a faraway Eastern kingdom. Amongst these four Orcs, there was the daughter of Raig, an Orcish Elder. Her name was Misha Rema.

Following the storyline of a normal tale, they naturally fell in love.

However, their happiness did not last long. This scouting team contracted a sickness from the Marsh. Members of the scouting team proceeded to die after one another. Naturally, Misha’s life was also in danger.

Kithar then spent all of his time and energy in finding a cure.

Around this time, Misha was also pregnant. Upon the birth of their child, Misha had already died in tears of pain and joy.

Kithar was in deep sorrow. He took his child in his hands, raised it over his head, and declared that his name was Rexxar Rema in remembrance of his mother.

Rexxar, in the language of wild Ogres, meant ‘Inevitability’.

Misha Rema’s death took a large toll on Kithar. In a challenge for the Chieftain position not long after her death, he was killed.

Before his death, he gave Rexxar to an Ogre Hunter to take care of him. Kithar also gave Rexxar Misha’s dual axes, carved with her name. He wanted them to leave this place and never return.

Rexxar didn’t have a father or mother growing up, but he eventually became the mighty King of Orcs. This was how his legendary life began.

When he was still a young age, his foster father had died in a hunt with a bear. It was also around this time that he met a little bear called Misha. From then on, they stuck together like glue. As such, Rexxar was again an orphan, and furthermore, the times were not great for half-Orcs. They were seen as a lower class. Naturally, because of this, he was subjected to a lot of exclusion and discrimination.

However, when he grew up, not only did he change his fate of staying in that ‘lower class’, but he managed to gain the utmost respect of Thrall and the entire Horde. This was partly because of the prestigious status of his parents. Rexxar was recognised as having noble and powerful blood running through his veins, but he wasn’t satisfied with this, so he proved himself with his sense of justice and courage and ultimately gained glory.

With this being said, something else also had to be mentioned. One day, Rexxar coincidentally saw that there was an Orc warrior who was being surrounded and attacked by a group of wild beasts. He rushed over to help, but he was too late. The Orc warrior was already lying in a pool of blood.

The Orc warrior took out a letter that was already soaked in blood and told Rexxar to give this letter to Thrall, no matter what. Rexxar immediately accepted his last request and managed to find the new Orc camp in Orgrimmar. The Horde’s Chieftain, Thrall, unhesitatingly accepted Rexxar, a hero of the Mok’Nathal. Thrall then invited Rexxar to build their new home with them.

When an Admiral, called Daelin Proudmoore, invaded Durotar, Rexxar stepped forward once again. From then onwards, he gained the support of the Horde, while also defeating the Ogre Chieftain Cor’Gall and becoming the new leader for the Stonemaul. After building a new naval army, Rexxar and Thrall led the Orcs together to surround Theramore, where the Humans were making camp.

The fierce alliance of the Horde army rushed the Humans’ defense line and killed Admiral Daelin. After the victory, Thrall invited Rexxar once again.

“Courageous Rexxar, you have saved our home! We will always be in your debt. Would you come back to Dolot to build yourself a new home?”

“I’m extremely grateful for your invitation, Thrall. However, it is my fate to wander the earth. I belong to the wild. However, remember this: I am always a part of the Orcs. When you need me again, I will come and help. Goodbye.”

Rexxar had helped the Horde to achieve a victorious outcome. However, this victory was also a pivotal one in the war against the Alliance.

Therefore, Rexxar’s works did not go unrecognised. Through this, he had built his reputation of fearsomeness and glory, and now a hero among the Horde.

From words alone, it was hard to describe his heroics and characteristics. People would need to research much deeper into the history of the Ogres if they wanted to truly understand who Rexxar was.

The Orcs brought the Ogres from Draenor, who were also ancestors of the great Rexxar. During the battle between the Horde and the Humans, they were included in the Horde. Then, during the last few days of the battle, when the Horde were growing ever closer to the ultimate victory, the two strongest Orcs in Azeroth were divided.

When Orgrim Doomhammer attacked Lordaeron, this would have been the ultimate struggle before the fall of humanity. However, when the time came to attack, Gul’dan left alongside his followers into the sea.

Because of Gul’dan’s betrayal, the Horde lost nearly half of their army. The enraged Doomhammar had to retreat, which also meant that they had just lost their best opportunity at destroying the Alliance.

For the sake of punishing the traitors, Doomhammer ordered his army to pursue Gul’dan and his followers. After Gul’dan was killed, the traitors were immediately eradicated by the furious Doomhammer army.

There were Ogres amongst Gul’dan’s traitorous army. Since the Ogres suffered heavy losses in this war, they made their exit from the Horde. On top of this, they grew a deep hatred for the Horde. The Ogre clan that Rexxar was in could have been destroyed as well. The reason behind this speculation was because the Mok’Nathal clan was never seen in the game’s background again.

Rexxar would be furious over the genocide of his clan, but he also knew that they had betrayed the Horde, which meant that the punishment was deserved. He did not take action to avenge his destroyed clan, but used his power and strength to clear the stains of his ancestors.

Naturally, this also meant that Rexxar was absolutely loyal to the Horde, even considering that the Horde had eradicated his clan.

As for the spirits of the Mok’Nathal clan, they were the only remnant of the clan’s wishes. Their responsibility was to protect Rexxar, a hero of the Ogres, while hoping that he would one day avenge the Mok’Nathal clan.

Perhaps it was because they could not release that guilt. When these Mok’Nathal spirits were attacked, it was highly likely that their assailants would be attacked by Rexxar as well.

How strong was Rexxar, you ask?

During the three years of Dawn in Lu Li’s previous life, not even a single team could defeat Rexxar.

No, it would be more accurate to say that not even a single team could get past Rexxar’s bear, Misha. This bear was just a normal bear. Perhaps Rexxar chose to adopt it because he saw that its life was like his. He decided to name it ‘Misha’ to remember his mother who he hadn’t even met.

In the hearts of the Hunter players, Rexxar was the idolised ultimate end goal.

Even if all players from Glory Capital rushed into Desolace, they wouldn’t even be able to touch the hairs on Rexxar. Lu Li had no chance. Furthermore, Lu Li recognised this and wanted to fail, so the quest would most definitely fail.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have taken out these good items to tempt Whinging Hollow and City Smoke.

This was a massive trap laid down for Glory Capital. Lu Li had vividly and thoroughly planned this trap in great detail.
