Chapter 303: No Sharing

Lu Li didn’t fly the Coffin of the Dragon King away. He floated it in midair, waiting for Ming Yu to get the toxins out.

Ming Yu had lost the strength to sit. He closed his eyes and collapsed to the coffin. He used Xuan Energy to force the toxins out bit by bit.

Ming Yu’s Force was very powerful. Not only could he use it to suppress enemies near him, but also to surpass down the toxins within his body. Otherwise, he would have died several days ago. Those toxins were not average ones. They were "live" ones that could spread out quickly and automatically.

Ming Yu could force toxins out bit by bit only because Force had confined them. Average warriors couldn’t have done it.

Two days!

Lu Li floated the Coffin of the Dragon King in midair for two days before almost all the toxins were out. The rest were just some remaining toxins that were not lethal.

"Young Master…"

Ming Yu opened his eyes and looked for Lu Li at once. He tried to ask some questions. Lu Li waved his hands and said, "Don’t say anything. We need to go out first. My Xuan Energy cannot hold on for along. Without the protection of the shield of the Coffin of the Dragon King, none of us can get out."

It required energy to float the Coffin of Dragon King in midair. Previously, the demon was the one contributing the energy but Lu Li had to pour his Xuan Energy in now. Flying the coffin and putting the shield up both require a large amount of energy to support. Lu Li almost exhausted his Xuan Energy these two days.

Lu Li didn’t move because he was afraid to interrupt Ming Yu. Also, he wanted to ask which way Ming Yu took to get in so as to determine the best way out.

Lu Li controlled the Coffin of the Dragon King to slowly move and asked Ming Yu about his way in while recalling his own way in, trying work out the most suitable route.

After flying the time for one incense stick to burn, they could see some light ahead. Lu Li looked towards Ming Yu who released his psychic power. Lu Li opened the shield to cooperate with Ming Yu to let his psychic power out.

"We are out!"

Ming Yu exhaled. A glint of joy appeared in his eyes as he came out alive from the disaster. He paused and then added, "Young Master, there are two people outside. I think they are Yu Huashen and Patriarch Du Ran."

"Oh?"

Lu Li’s expressions grew cold. He thought for a while and then asked, "Did they feel you?"

"I don’t think so!" Ming Yu explained, "I didn’t probe into them. I just tried to sense it from far away."

"Okay…"

Lu Li nodded and said, "Ming Yu, later, you go out first and then you work with Yu Huashen to tell Du Ran that I am dead to lure him away."

"Ah?" Ming Yu didn’t understand and asked, "Young Master, I think Du Ran is a good man. You are in trouble and he has been helping. Why?"

"I have my reasons, of course!"

Lu Li didn’t have time to explain. He just said, "Lure Du Ran away as soon as possible and then we will leave quietly. We cannot go to the City of Delicacy anymore and we cannot let the Du Family or Qin Family know that I am alive or the fact that I came out from the Wicked Sorcery Mountain. Do you understand?"

Ming Yu seemed to get it but he nodded without saying anything. Lu Li controlled the Coffin of the Dragon King to fly away. As they were about to leave the dark purple fog, he glanced over to Ming Yu who flew out.

Lu Li acted on a reason.

He was controlled by the demon which had caused quite a sensation at the territories of the Qin Family and the Du Family. Even… other families of the northern Central Plains, including the Pavilion of Delicacy had received the news.

What would people do when they knew that Lu Li had come out from the Wicked Sorcery Mountain alive?

The Family Patriarchs of the Du Family and the Qin Family sure would pay attention. They would ask Lu Li how he got out and what had happened.

In this case, the fact about the Coffin of the Dragon King would be revealed. What if the Du Family Patriarch forced him to open the coffin? What if the Qin Family Patriarch accused Lu Li of murdering Qin Family warriors and forced him to give up the Coffin of the Dragon King? What if powerful warriors of the Pavilion of Delicacy got involved?

The demon had said that there was a rare plant in there that could be traded for a Prefectural City. It must be very valuable.

Also, there was the matter about Lu Li’s identity. Once he was in the middle of the spotlight, his identity would be revealed. Then what ways did he have to defend himself if enemies of Lu Renhuang came after him?

Lu Li wanted to pocket all the treasures in the Coffin of the Dragon King without sharing!

He had risked his life to get the Coffin of the Dragon King, and he wouldn’t want to share it with the Du Family. Du Family did make an effort to save him and mobilized many warriors, but Lu Li still didn’t trust the Du Family entirely. Naturally, he wouldn’t entrust his life to the Du Family.

Of course, he was not getting rid of the Du Family and he would carry the kindness of the Du Family to his heart.

"Ming Yu?"

Yu Huashen and Du Ran sensed it as soon as Ming Yu flew out. Both Yu Huashen and Du Ran were surprised that Ming Yu could get out alive after he went in for five days.

But Ming Yu looked miserable, covered in pus and agonized judging by the expressions in his eyes. He collapsed to the ground as soon as he flew over and gasped for air.

Du Ran and Yu Huashen hurried over to help him up. Ming Yu stopped them and said, "Don’t touch me. I am covered in toxins…"

Yu Huashen and Du Ran paused. Ming Yu sighed and said, "Young Master is dead. Patriarch Du, don’t wait here anymore. Don’t worry about us. We will go back to the Northern Desert on our own."

"Ah?"

Yu Huashen was taken by shock. Ming Yu threw him a meaningful glance to which Yu Huashen understood quickly. He put on a sad look and then closed his eyes in faked agony…

"Died? Ah…"

Du Ran bought it. He didn’t expect that Lu Li could survive.

He didn’t leave. He stood there in sorrow and said after some time, "I am sorry. Brother Ming, do you need me to get some pellets for you from our family?"

"No!"

Ming Yu waved his hand feebly and said, "Brother Du, I can force toxins out by myself. Don’t mind me. We want to stay here for a bit and hold a small memorial service for our Young Master quietly. We will go back to the Northern Desert after I get the toxins out. Um… if we are in trouble, we will go to the Dan City to look for you, Brother Du, and we hope that you will help us out. We will appreciate it."

Du Ran couldn’t refuse. He nodded and said, "Sure, come and look for me at the Dan City for anything you need. If you want to join the Du Family, you are welcome to go to the Dan City as well. I will recommend you to our Family Patriarch. Take care and I have to go back to report now. Goodbye."

Du Ran had already lost his patience after waiting here for several days. He had to go back to report the whole thing, figure out how they would deal with what might come along and how to answer to the Lu Family in the future.

For the Du Family, Lu Li was the one that mattered the most. Ming Yu and Yu Huashen were nothing. Du Family didn’t want them that much. After all, they were all servants to Lu Li.

Yu Huashen wanted to ask about Lu Li after Du Ran left, but Ming Yu winked at him to stop him. Yu Huashen understood and they waited there without saying a word.

After a while, when Ming Yu and Yu Huashen made sure that there was nobody around, Ming Yu sent his psychic power in as a signal.

After the time for several breaths, space trembled as a huge golden coffin emerged from the dark purple fog. Lu Li deactivated the shield outside the Coffin of the Dragon King and shouted, "Get on and we will leave immediately!"

Yu Huashen flew onto the coffin in joy. Ming Yu followed him up. With a glare, a cyan-colored shield appeared outside the Coffin of the Dragon King which vanished in midair and quietly flew forward.
