The battle shocked a lot of people. A certain pair of witty eyes stared straight at Ye Mo, heart trembling.

“Mo’er has qualified for the finals tomorrow,” Xuan Ji said with a smile.

Ye Mo didn’t leave the field. He stayed behind and watched the other matches instead.

In the second match, Li Mengli fought a chief elect of Wushuang League. Though Li Mengli was only at the early-stage of True Energy Realm, she had plenty of tricks up her sleeve and she fought in an extremely unusual way. After a few exchanges, she defeated her opponent and advanced to the next round.

In the third match, Zhao Huan fought her own team member and easily advanced to the next round.

The fourth match was between Cao Zheng and Lei Xiao. Though Lei Xiao had the Thunderfire Warhammer, he still couldn’t survive even one attack from Cao Zheng. With one attack, Cao Zheng severed both of Lei Xiao’s hands.

“Chief Elect of Qingyun League, I won’t kill you,” Cao Sheng said as he sneered disdainfully. “Scram. You might still be able to get your hands fixed if you begin the treatment right away.”

“Ye Mo will avenge me!” Lei Xiao said furiously.

“Ye Mo will avenge you? Hehe, I won’t hold my breath!” Cao Zheng didn’t seem to care. He spoke indifferently, “The finals will be held tomorrow, so tomorrow, Ye Mo will suffer the same fate as you.”

Cao Zheng turned and walked away from the Qingyun Martial Field, ignoring everyone’s gaze.

“The first day of the league war has officially come to an end. Those advancing to the next round are; Qingyun League’s Ye Mo, Wushuang League’s Zhao Huan, and the kingdom’s Cao Zheng and Li Mengli. The matches tomorrow will decide the champion, who will receive the Cosmos Qi and Thundergod Armor.”

At this announcement, the excitement of the Qingyun Martial Field reached an all-time high.

Among the crowd, the happiest were those from the kingdom, since two of their champions had advanced to the finals.

The members of Tiandi League all appeared dispirited, and, when leaving, looked rather sorry. They might even decide to not watch the matches tomorrow since their champions were all eliminated.

While the results from the first day were very shocking, some of the grand elders of all three leagues started to grow anxious.

The name of the competition was the league war, a battle of the three leagues. If someone from the kingdom was the champion of the league war, it would be an absolute disgrace for all three leagues.

After the match, Ye Mo used the Glorious Sun Power to heal Lei Xiao’s hands. Then, he was summoned over to Xuan Ji.

Ye Mo had never seen such a large crowd at the meeting hall of Xuan Ji Sub-League. Qingyun League’s leader, Qingyun League’s grand elder, and the three league chiefs were all here.

“Ye Mo, how confident are you about the matches tomorrow?” Xuan Ji asked the moment Ye Mo entered.

“Cao Zheng’s not as simple as he looks,” Ye Mo said. “And he’s got two Spirit Weapons. I’ve yet to see him use that spear of his.”

“Tomorrow will be the finals, so you won’t have any chance to increase your strength,” Xuan Ji said. “Moreover, seals are prohibited in this competition. It’ll be very hard for you to win tomorrow.” Everyone got quiet, thinking deeply.

Though Ye Mo had defeated both Luo Feng and Chu Ge swiftly and decisively, those two still weren’t at Cao Zheng’s level.

Cao Zheng had never revealed his full strength, and he was Cao Zhengchun’s son. He would definitely have an abundance of trump cards hidden up his sleeves.

“Auntie, league leader, and fellow elders, in truth, I have yet to reveal my full strength as well,” Ye Mo said honestly. “The outcome tomorrow is still not set in stone.”

“Are you saying you’re still hiding your strength?” a grand elder asked in astonishment.

“Yes.” Ye Mo nodded. “Everything will only be known for certain tomorrow. For my sake, and for the glory of Qingyun League, I’ll fight with everything I have.”

“Good!” one of the grand elders said. Then he waved his hand and sent a large wooden chest flying toward Ye Mo.

“This is the Windchasing Sunslayer Spear,” he said. “I’ve had it for my entire life. It’s a mid-grade Spirit Weapon. I will lend it to you.”

“Mo’er, this Windchasing Sunslayer Spear is Elder Wutian’s most prized possession,” Xuan Ji said. “I tried to borrow it from him a few days ago and he refused. Now he’s offering it to you. Thank him!”

“Thank you, Elder Wutian,” Ye Mo said as he cupped his fists in greeting. He still lacked a Spirit Weapon of his own. This Windchasing Sunslayer Spear might prove helpful in closing the strength gap between him and his opponent.

“Open the chest and take a look. See how it feels in your hands,” Elder Wutian said.

Ye Mo nodded and opened the chest. Inside was a spear about two meters long. The spearhead was about 30 centimeters long. It was colored red and white and it glowed slightly.

Ye Mo grabbed the spear and, after brandishing it around, said, “Elder Wutian, this spear is light but powerful. With this spear, I’ll be even stronger.”

“Haha.” Elder Wutian laughed and stroked his beard. “That spear’s not a product of Tianwu Kingdom. I got it from the Zone of Desolation. Though it’s only a mid-grade Spirit Weapon, it’s no weaker than regular high-grade Spirit Weapons.”

“Everyone, the decisive battle is tomorrow,” Ye Mo said. “I need to return and rest so I can maintain peak form.” He left with the Windchasing Sunslayer Spear.

While he was on his way back, an old man in brocade blocked his way.

“You must be Ye Mo,” the old man said. “The princess has summoned you. Come with me.” He waved a hand.

“The princess is summoning me?” Ye Mo frowned. Why had the princess randomly summoned him? It was weird, and the timing was odd too.

“Perhaps the princess has taken a liking to me after seeing my performance today?” Ye Mo thought to himself.

“Yes, the princess has summoned you.” The old man started walking away without checking to see if Ye Mo was following. “Come. You’ll understand when you get there.”

Ye Mo didn’t think too much and followed along.

Along the way, the old man remained silent and Ye Mo didn’t ask any questions. The old man said he would understand everything when he got there.

The old man brought Ye Mo to a hall, the place where Qingyun League usually arranged for their important guests to stay.

“We’ve arrived. Go in yourself,” the old man said before leaving.

Ye Mo walked into the dark hall.

The corridor was long, with a glowing pearl on the ceiling. At the end of the corridor was a gorgeous pavilion, and in the pavilion, there were three people. Of the three, two appeared to be maidservants, while the one in the middle was seated on a golden phoenix chair.

The one in the chair was dressed in a golden gown and had a golden crown on her head. Her gown had markings of a soaring phoenix. The phoenix was bright golden, a noble intelligence in its eyes.

The woman had a pair of watery eyes, a straight nose, and a pretty face.

“Ye Mo, do you still remember me?” the princess asked with a smile after telling the maidservants to leave.
