Thrown Into A New World: Let The Punishment Begin!

Chapter 197 - Need For Your Presence

"Why wouldn't he come by?" Yvonne retorted as an amused look took over her face.

Marquess Sullivan Samed rolled his eyes at the little girl who was not yet aware of the inner workings in the brains of the men in the noble society.

He had seen it all and there was nothing that could surprise him when it came to the low expectations and hopes these men had from women.

"You may have the Earl assist you in dealing with the Baron but have you ever thought of the fact that his assistance would never be required if the Baron doesn't show up today?" He quizzed with his brows arched at the little girl.

Yvonne heard what he had to say but the confidence she had that the other man would appear did not shake in the least bit.

She was sure that the plump man would show up at her doorstep and this belief increased after the news she heard from her tutor, Marquess Samed.

"My biggest supporters in this will be the Royals themselves." She muttered to herself which gave her greater confidence in the plan that she had thought up.

Marquess Samed wanted to explain further that a man would not arrive at her house just because she had invited him.

'If this was the Earl or Howard then the Baron might have made an appearance but for him to come here after receiving an invite from the girl is not something that I can put my hopes on.' He inferred after giving it some thought.

Yvonne did not bother to make him a believer and shook her head as she decided to not waste her energy thinking about this any further.

'He can just watch from the sidelines later now.' She smirked and pulled the book close to her.

"Shall we begin our class, Marquess?" The child smiled at her tutor and pointed her chubby finger toward the book that was on her lap.

Having left with no other choices, he let her be and picked up his book as he flipped through the pages.

Today's class was prepared with keeping the Princess's approaching birthday in mind.

He taught her the various birthdays of the Royal family of Rosenhyde as they were days of celebration in the Kingdom.

'A holiday for that scum being born? No, thank you!' She scoffed when she read that even Grand Duke Draco Roschester was added to the list of Royals.

Technically, he was also a Royal family member but Yvonne could never bring herself to associate the scum with that family as he had lost that right in her sight.

'Cheating men do not deserve my respect.' She scowled at the man who was the worst person in the script according to her.

She would not mind respecting the Male Lead, Prince Fritzen as all his life, he loved one woman and that was Hilda.

'Though he recognized the wrong person and was pretty much conned into liking her, he did love her till the end.' She applauded his ability to stick with her all along.

But the man who had a wife and yet followed his nephew's fiance around was not someone who could impress her even if he had the same blood running through his veins.

"King Ophire's birthday falls on the day we celebrate the coming of the new seasons in our Kingdom. It will be here before you know it." Sullivan chirped happily as that was a day with celebration all over the land.

The grandeur of the Capital city on that day was something to behold as no other day was celebrated with greater enthusiasm than the King's birth.

Yvonne made a note of the date as this would be useful for her in the future.

'I can organize sales in preparation for the King's big day! I am sure that I can increase sales for that month by a large margin.' She planned for something that had not yet been formed.

While Yvonne was lost in her thoughts of pre-planning schemes for the future business which had not even laid its foundation, the door of the room was knocked on.

Marquess Samed turned in the direction of the door and frowned as this would rarely occur.

"We are seldom disturbed during our class so who might it be?" He questioned as he turned towards the girl who sat on the opposite side of the couch.

'Do I look like a psychic to you?' She blinked with a blank stare at the man who soon realized his folly.

"Silly me!" He chuckled sheepishly and turned away.

The very next second, a smirk appeared on the little round face which disappeared in the blink of an eye.

"Come in!" She instructed as she knew exactly who that person might be.

Just as she had expected, Mrs. Jacinth stepped into the room with her head lowered.

"Miss, there is someone here to meet you." She informed the news which Butler Limo had passed on through a maid.

Marquess and Yvonne shared a look, one where the child was smug and the tutor was astonished.

'Is it? No! It cannot be!' He sneered at the little girl who was trying to mess with him.

'Neither do I want to play pranks on you nor do I have the time and energy to do that.' She sneered right back as she glared at the man who was looking at her with suspicion clear in his red eyes.

The maid stood at the side as she peeked at her young miss staring at her tutor while he did the same in return.

"Who is it?" Yvonne questioned once she had tossed aside the thoughts of fighting this stubborn man in a staring contest.

The gloating expression on Sullivan's face as he had won this little competition deflated when he heard the maid's reply.

"It is Baron MacIntyre and he seems to have an immediate need for your presence." She relayed the exact message that she had received from a younger maid.

Yvonne was enjoying the stunned and incredulous look that had made its home on her tutor's face.

His dropped jaw as what he had deemed impossible had taken place was making his pupil chuckle to her heart's content.

Once she had recovered from her episode of laughter, she wiped the single tear that had escaped through the corner of her eye.

Looking up at her nanny, Yvonne shook her head in refusal.

"My class with Marquess Samed has not yet ended so I shall not be leaving this room any time soon." She explained to Mrs. Jacinth what the reason for refusing to meet the Baron was.

The old maid was unsure of whether to try and convince her Miss or to leave the room to pass this answer to the Butler.

Noticing the conflicted look on her nanny's face, the little girl decided to help ease her worries.

"The Baron was invited over for lunch and was asked to come at noon. He has arrived earlier than expected but I cannot chase away a Marquess for a Baron." She elaborated as she glimpsed at the silver-haired man.

The maid's eyes widened when she made this connection and hurried out of the room to personally inform the Butler about what her young miss had said.
