Chapter 694 - Let’s Do Something Else!

Chapter 694: Let’s Do Something Else!

To Xia Ning, Su Jingcheng was the last name she ever wanted to hear!

That man could always irritate her without any effort, making her want to tear him into pieces. That was right. He could always bring out the most violent side of her.

“Don’t mention that name in front of me again. I’ll only say that once.” Xia Ning hacked the peeled apple into halves with one strike, then made another cut!

Seeing Xia Ning’s swift movements, Wen Yue opened her mouth, but words had failed her. But when she recalled what that man was capable of, she said after some hesitation. “Asteria, you should be careful. He’s not happy that you didn’t go home for the Chinese New Year and I’m afraid the old master will…”

“Suit himself!” Xia Ning glanced at Wen Yue. “He didn’t scare me before and he’s not going to scare me now. There. Let’s go have some fruit!” After that, she put the fruit on a plate and walked out of the kitchen.

Wen Yue followed Xia Ning out. She then found Xia Ning sitting down next to Qiao Yu, eating fruit, and watching TV.

She was taken aback for a brief moment, amazed by this casual side of Asteria. Wen Yue smiled and decided to drop the issue. Some things just weren’t for people like her to meddle with.

If even Asteria and Qiao Yu can’t handle it, then probably no one else can.

“Wen Yue, come over here and have some fruit!” Mu Zichen called out to Wen Yue.

Seeing the slightly drunk look on Mu Zichen’s face, Wen Yue frowned. “Forget about the fruit. Do you see the state you’re in? How are we going to get back home later?!”

“I’ll have my driver take you back home,” said Qiao Yu. He then checked the time. “It’s getting late.”

Wen Yue glanced at Qiao Yu and looked stunned. The man was practically asking them to leave!

Well, it was nice enough for him to invite them over for dinner and they would overstay their welcome if they wouldn’t let the couple have some quality time alone.

Wen Yue gave Mu Zichen a tender smack. “On your feet now. It’s time to go back home!”

“We can stay a little longer!” Mu Zichen was genuinely drunk, for he couldn’t tell what Qiao Yu was hinting.

It didn’t matter if he could tell or not, for the decision had been made.

Qiao Yu rose to his feet, picked Mu Zichen up, and took the latter to the door.

“Hey, Alex, what are you doing? You’re choking me! Are you trying to kill me?!” Mu Zichen tried to free his neck as Qiao Yu dragged him out of the room.

Qiao Yu paid no attention to him and pulled him out of the door. The cold wind outside immediately cleared Mu Zichen’s head a little.

“Hey, Alex, what are you doing?!”

Xia Ning raised an eyebrow when she heard the conversation outside, amazed by how close the two men were.

“Asteria, I’m off. Happy Chinese New Year!” Wen Yue smiled at Xia Ning.

Xia Ning nodded. “Happy Chinese New Year. Hey, can you handle Mu Zichen like this? Why don’t you stay here tonight…”

“Asteria, there’s something you don’t know. You’re not supposed to sleep overnight in other people’s house on Chinese New Year’s Eve and that’s why neither Qiao Yu nor his mother invited us to stay.” Wen Yue winked at Xia Ning. “Enjoy a few more Chinese festivals here and you’ll know them all.” If she could stay that long.

Xia Ning smiled. “Sure!”

After Qiao Yu saw Wen Yue and Mu Zichen off, he came back to find Xia Ning picking up Enoch, who had already fallen asleep. She said to him. “Go to bed!”

Glancing at Enoch in Xia Ning’s arms, Qiao Yu looked at her and his eyes seemed to turn darker. “No, let’s do something else!”
